John W. Brann III, PE, RLS – Firm Principal
Professional Engineer ( Missouri, Kansas, Colorado)
Registered Land Surveyor (Missouri, Kansas)
Soon after joining PY in 1982, John was named Principal and is currently President of the firm. He has over 30 years of experience in civil engineering and land surveying. He serves as project manager/engineer for many of the firm's water, wastewater, streets, and stormwater projects. He also manages PY's land surveying operation. John holds a bachelors of science degree in civil engineering from the University of Kansas.

James W. Challis, PE – Firm Principal
Professional Engineer (Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska) With PY since 1979, Jim is a Principal of the firm, serving as corporate Secretary/Treasurer. He has over 26 years of experience in civil engineering, including water, wastewater, streets and stormwater. Jim's responsibilities include analysis, design and construction period general services. He obtained his bachelors of science in civil engineering and masters of science in structural engineering at Brigham Young University.

Chester A. Bender, PE
Professional Engineer (Missouri, Kansas)
Chester has over 16 years of civil engineering experience with emphasis in the areas of water and wastewater. He joined PY in 1998, expanding the firm's depth of expertise in these areas. Chester holds a bachelors of science degree in civil engineering and a masters in business.

Key Support Staff

Julie Parker
Julie has been with PY since 1983. Her responsibilities include marketing and administrative support.

David Trimble
David is PY's lead CAD technician, providing assistance in project design. He has been with PY since 1992.

Joe Koons
Joe joined PY in 1986, and serves as crew chief, responsible for day-to-day supervision of PY's in-house survey crew.
